Video on Getting Started in Beekeeping in 5 steps
2011
12.14
I get asked some basic 101 questions all the time. So I've finally
made a video that outlines my advice in 5 easy steps.

Documentary I made on Bee Smokers with Dr. Paul Jackson
2011
12.06
This summer I had time to go visit with the Texas State
Entomologist, Dr. Paul Jackson.
He has a phenomenal collection of bee smokers and the lore that
surrounds them. I couldn't help but make a documentary on it.
Granted, a bit sloppy on the editing, but effective.

Free Basic Beekeeping Manual for NGOs & Peace Corps Volunteers
2011
12.01
This one goes out to my friends in Peace Corps and NGOs.
I'm a really, really big fan of Pam Gregory and her beekeeping
work. She has also created the best manual for third world
beekeeping out there. This 71 page manual is not just about how to
do beekeeping in the bush, but the basic life cycle of the bee a
beekeeper needs to know, it covers how to harvest, what equipment
to build, how to make a bee suit from a rice sack, and how to
package honey that will sell in local markets. The real vertical
knowledge base a beekeeper truely needs to know to make it. Basic
Beekeeping manual-
With foundation grant money from Waterloo, her manual is now
released as a free download. Basic Beekeeping manula-

Video of Beekeeping of Apis Dorsata aka Giant Honeybees
2011
11.22
I've seen honey hunters cutting down the door sized single combs
that Dorsata bees build. Normally the hunters are poor and they cut
down the entire comb honey and all. The honey is drained, the brood
might be eaten,
Indian Dorsata beekeeping and the wax will be sold. But this video
shows honey hunters who are professionals, harvesting holes of
honey from the combs in a sustainable way. Quite fascinating.

Back From the Texas Beekeeping Conference
2011
11.07
Met lots of folks, learned much, and made lots of video for my
fans. I even got to see and film the coronation of the new honey
queen.
The main lessons from the technical track was that we should be
feeding our bees in September to survive best over the winter.
Also, that feeding will really help a hive with dealing with
Nosema.
I also learned of a toxic honey plant in Texas that is (thankfully)
reasonably rare, called `Snow on the Mountain' which you can find
more about here:

Massive Hive Video went viral
2011
09.06
Finally figured out why the Massive Hive video went viral. In
about 3 days it did 12,000 hits. Tracked it down to a website
called OMGvideos
omgvideoz/2011/huge-bee-hive-found-in-austin-tx/
So this is the kind of thing the average public wants to see.
*sigh*

cityroom.blogs.nytimes/2011/08/30/bee-rescue/?hp
Tropical Storm Irene moved through New York City on Sunday knocking
out power, causing flooding in some neighborhoods and knocking over
many trees.
In one corner of Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, the storm also set
off a fight -- over bees.... see story

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:
Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of
http://bing.com,
http://yahoo.com or
http://google.com.
Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
